Pocklington Group Practice relocated their Practice from their previous 1960s building to a new, spacious and modern healthcare centre constructed specifically for them at The Beckside Centre, Pocklington. Construction completed in 2015.

Project Description

Construction photography - Beckside Medical Centre, Pocklington with Halifax bomber engineThe Beckside Centre is a new 2-storey medical / healthcare centre set in extensive grounds which includes 24 consulting rooms, 15 offices, a pharmacy, minor surgery facilities and large car park. Located in the village of Pocklington, outside the historical city of York, it is the only Practice serving the area.

The Practice is sited close to an airfield used in WWII. During excavation works a number of WWII artefacts were exposed including munitions and a Halifax Bomber engine. The engine has been partly restored, mounted and displayed and can be viewed through the glazed curtain wall from the reception to the rear of the Practice.

Photography Brief

Instructed by the Project Manager, Aspect 4 Ltd, the brief was to provide extensive external and internal photography of the entire building and external landscaping with the images to be issued to 12no parties involved in the construction.
